If you are moving Apple Mail messages to Outlook or another mail program, the MBOX files are usually the part that needs handling first. Apple Mail stores mailbox data in MBOX, while applications such as Outlook work with different formats, so direct opening is not always possible.
For a cleaner conversion, I’d look at WholeClear MBOX Converter when the Apple Mail MBOX files need to be exported into PST, MSG, EML, EMLX, PDF, or another supported format. You can also select specific files or folders instead of processing the entire mailbox.
One thing I would do before migration is open a few messages in the preview and check attachments, dates, and folder placement. Keep the original MBOX files unchanged until everything looks correct.
If you’re unsure about the output, the free demo gives you a chance to test your own Apple Mail data first.
